Colombian Women’s Under-17 Basketball Team Starts FIBA U17 South American Championship with Victory

The Colombian women’s basketball team, under-17 category, began its participation in the FIBA ​​U17 South American Women’s Championship Bucaramanga 2023 positively, as it debuted with victory against the representative of Bolivia.

At the beginning of group A, Colombia easily surpassed Bolivia and is already at the top of the zone of the southern continental basketball competition.

With a final score of 77 out of 59, the national quintet came back and surpassed that of Bolivia, registering a first quarter in favor of the Bolivians, 14-27, and the remaining three with a positive balance for the Colombians, 19-7, 18- 12 and 26-13.

Meradith Venner, from the Colombian ranks, was the most outstanding player of the sporting event, scoring +29 efficiency, 30 points scored, 13 rebounds gained, one steal and two blocks.
