Argentina U-17 Strikers Lead Top Scorer List in 2023 World Cup Semifinals

TEMPO.CO, Solo – The top scorer list for the 2023 U-17 World Cup up to the semifinals is occupied by the Argentina U-17 national team striker duo, Agustin Ruberto and Claudio Echeverri. Both of them have currently collected five goals in five appearances.

Notch hat-trick Echeverri when Argentina beat Brazil 3-0 in the quarter-finals means he is now competing with Ruberto. Previously, the player nicknamed El Diablito scored two goals in the matches against Japan and Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Ruberto almost always tore the opponent’s net in every match played by Argentina at the 2023 U-17 World Cup. Only in the match against Brazil his name was absent from the scoreboard.

Echeverri and Ruberto still have the potential to add to their goal tally considering that La Albiceleste will compete against Germany in the semifinals of the 2023 U-17 World Cup at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Tuesday, November 28. However, they are not the main candidates to win the golden boot.

Mali’s front three, Mahammoud Barry, Ibrahim Diarra and Mamadou Doumbia have the opportunity to overtake Echeverri and Ruberto’s goal tally. They have both collected three goals.
