Jannik Sinner and Alexander Zverev could win at the ATP Awards
After his final breakthrough in the current calendar year, Jannik Sinner could also win at the ATP Awards. The 22-year-old, who most recently won the Davis Cup with Italy, is on the shortlist in two categories (Most Improved Player and Sportmanhsip Award).
In terms of the biggest leap in development in the 2023 season, Sinner faces competition from Matteo Arnaldi, Christopher Eubanks and Ben Shelton. In addition to the South Tyrolean, Carlos Alcaraz, Grigor Dimitrov and Hubert Hurkacz are also available as the fairest players.

In addition, Sinners coaches Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi could be named Coach of the Year. The two will face Craig Boynton (Hubert Hurkacz), Juan Carlos Ferrero (Carlos Alcaraz), Goran Ivanisevic (Novak Djokovic) and Bryan Shelton (Ben Shelton).

In the “Comeback Player of the Season” category, German is predominantly spoken. In addition to Alexander Zverev, who managed to return to the top ten after his serious injury at the French Open 2022, Jan-Lennard Struff and Dominik Koepfer can also have hopes. The list is completed by Gael Monfils.
Professionals decide for themselves – with one exception
The “Newcomer of the Year” comes from the quintet Flavio Cobolli, Arthur Fils, Alex Michelsen, Dominic Stricker and Luca Van Assche. As in three other categories (Comeback Player, Most Improved Player, Sportsmanship), the professionals themselves decide on the winner; in the fifth (Coach of the Year), this task falls to the trainers.
