Week 8 NFL Matchups: Bills Outlast Buccaneers, Jets and Giants Face Off in ‘Derby’

There are 16 games in Week 8 of the NFL season, and for once there is no bye week. On Sunday there is, among other things, the “derby” between the New York Jets and New York Giants, and the Chiefs are also in action in Denver and the Bengals in San Francisco. PS: Remember the time difference in the USA. Starting Sunday, games will start an hour earlier than usual.

Buffalo Bills (5-3) – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-4) 24:18 BOXSCORE

Star quarterback Josh Allen is back to winning ways with the Bills. After recently surprisingly losing against the New England Patriots, they now defeated Tampa Bay 24:18 (17:10). Buffalo is now 5:3 victorious and has playoff participation in sight. Allen had two touchdown passes and once ran the ball into the end zone himself. The 27-year-old also made an interception to the opponent. The former team of retired superstar Tom Brady from Tampa Bay now has a record of three wins and four defeats. Nevertheless, everything is still possible when it comes to taking part in the finals in January. Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield threw for two touchdowns.

Why is the “tush push” – the Eagles’ famous play in which quarterback Jalen Hurts is more or less pushed by the teammates behind him to the new first down or touchdown – so difficult to stop? “We trained him a lot,” said center Jason Kelce. “You can see in the rest of the league that the others can’t do it as well as us,” explains head coach Nick Sirianni. He is against banning the move: “If everyone could do it, everyone would do it.”
