Whe is Lower Austria’s young athlete of the month for September? The users on NÖN.at can now have a say.
And this is how it works: Sports organizations and SPORT.LAND.Niederösterreich nominate those hopefuls for the future who have particularly made people sit up and take notice with their sporting achievements in the past month.
Fans can vote on NÖN.at for ten days. At the same time, a jury of experts weighs in – two-thirds of their judgment counts towards the weighted overall ranking. The expert jury is composed as follows: representatives of all Lower Austrian sports umbrella organizations, sports media (NÖN, ORF NÖ), Lower Austrian Insurance, Lower Austrian State School Council, Lower Austrian State Government Sports Department, Lower Austrian Sports Center as well as former prominent Lower Austrian sports personalities (since 2017 also the annual winner of the NÖN public election at the end of the year will be part of the expert jury for one year each). The fans can fill a third of the points account. And get excited when the young athlete of the month is presented on NÖN.at.

Maximilian WAGNER 15 years old, climbing, nature lovers Eichgraben 4th place at U16 world championship in speed climbing Lara TAYNOR 18 years old, Grasski, SU Trattenbach World champion in combination and runner-up in giant slalom in the general class Lisa GRABNER 21 years, judo, JC Wimpassing Silver medal at the U23 World Cup Simon ZEITLHOFER 18 years, rowing, NKC Ybbs 7th place at the Junior World Championships in kayak cross Fiona CLIENT 20 years, cycling, URC biking Austrian vice national champion in the general elite class in the mountain bike Eliminator XCE, as well as bronze in the enduro competition Emma GOOD YEAR 19 years old, rowing, URV Pöchlarn 10th place at the U23 European Championships, also Austrian national championship title in the general class in the single Jonas MOLNAR 17 years old, archery, BSC Fischamend, U21 vice-European champion with the field bow
