The Sajra Basketball Club, in collaboration with the Zafra City Council, held a women’s basketball triangular match this Saturday, April 27, in the Sports Pavilion. It was another of the activities scheduled for Women’s Day.
And the most important thing about this day, more than the result, was that both the players and the public honored women and enjoyed women’s basketball.
During the afternoon different games were played. The children’s teams faced each other from 5 to 6:30 p.m. From 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. BTB faced CB Sajra; from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. the BTB team did it against Villafranca; and CB Sajra played against Villafranca from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
After finishing the matches, the gifts were delivered to the different teams by the Councilor for Social Welfare and Equality, Mercedes Fernández, who expressed her satisfaction with the development of the activity and hopes that it will be a regular event in the following years. .
