Roma is pleased to announce a new two-year partnership with Riyadh Season, which will see one of the world’s most important entertainment events appear on the Giallorossi shirt. With its fourth edition starting at the end of this month, Riyadh Season represents a new benchmark for entertainment festivals. Thousands of visitors from around the world come to attend concerts, cultural events, exhibitions and more at iconic locations in Saudi Arabia’s capital.

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, President of the General Entertainment Authority of Saudi Arabia, said: «The Giallorossi shirt is unique, it is synonymous with AS Roma throughout the world and we are proud that Riyadh Season will from today be associated with such an iconic shirt. Sporting events play a fundamental role in the Riyadh Season’s calendar of events, which, thanks to this agreement, will also be enriched by the opportunity to attend an AS Roma friendly match in Riyadh.

The presence of the Giallorossi, again involved in Saudi Arabia after over 40 years since the last time, will meet the great passion for sport and in particular for football that is spreading throughout the country, as demonstrated by the numerous champions who currently play in the Saudi Pro League.

The first Riyadh Season was held inOctober 2019 and received a huge positive response, with visitor numbers exceeding 10 million. Consolidating its impressive reputation for delighting and engaging guests, subsequent events have broken numerous Guinness World Records.

25 million will come into Roma’s coffers in two years and it will be the only club in Europe with which Riyadh Season has chosen to associate commercially. Procedures have begun with UEFA to include the logo on the shirt for tomorrow’s match against Servette. The partnership also includes two friendly matches that will be played during the festival (28 October to the end of March). The vote for the Expo was not waited in order not to lose the sponsor, furthermore, the club does not believe it can influence 180 countries in the vote by accepting the partnership with Riyadh Season.
