Swiss Tennis Star Marc Rosset Reflects on Memorable Moments at Roland-Garros: From Borg to Noah and Missing out on the Final against Kafelnikov

Almost thirty years after his finest Grand Slam career, Swiss Marc Rosset recalls his best memories of Roland-Garros. From Borg’s matches to Yannick Noah’s memorable final, his first emotions behind the small screen led him to set foot on the clay court Philippe-Chatrier himself. On his favorite surface, he met all the conditions to reach the last four during the 1996 edition. Beating Stefan Edberg in the round of 16 then Bernd Karbacher in the quarters – thanks in particular to the unfailing support of Jean-Paul Belmondo – , he recounts his adventure with frankness and humor and has only one regret: not being able to face Yevgeni Kafelnikov in the final.
