Teaching unions announced at a press conference all kinds of actions for this Monday, October 23after the approval of the contract between the State and Minera Panamá.

One of the first to announce actions for this Monday was the Association of Unionist Movements of Educators of the Republic of Panama (ASOMOGRERP)who at a press conference reported that they will be on strike, and from the early hours of this October 23 They will concentrate on various fighting bastions to take protest actions against the approval of the contract.

In the case of the city ​​of Panama, The concentration point will be Carmen Church, starting at 8:00 am

In the province of Colón They will concentrate on Calle 9 and Central, specifically on the San José Church, from 9:00 am

In the province of Chiriquithe actions will be undertaken from the City of David, specifically in the Holy Family Church, Cervantes Park. In the case of San Félix, the meeting point will be the Church of San Felix, while in Tolé it will be Educator’s House.

Another province that joins the educational strike on Monday is Panama Oeste. Teachers from this province will gather in Libertador Park, La Chorrera.

The teachers asked the parents that they do not send their children to educational centers, although Meduca has not given its position regarding what was put forward by the teachers.

Meanwhile, Suntracs announces that starting Monday actions in the streets will intensify, the educational unions ask the union of nurses, doctors, unions, federations and organizations in the country to join the fight.
