Paris Saint-Germain Contemplates Launching its Own MMA Structure with Khabib Nurmagomedov as Figurehead

Paris Saint-Germain is said to be in full reflection as to the opening of its own MMA structure according to The Parisian. Khabib Nurmagomedov could be chosen to become the figure of this ambitious project.

Discussions are ongoing

After the judo, handball and of course football sections, PSG would like to tackle the MMA octagon. The project has been proposed for several months by Djamel Bouras, boss of PSG Judo. The president of the capital club, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi is currently in talks with former UFC star Khabib Nurmagomedov.

As a reminder, the 35-year-old Dagestani has been retired since 2021. This does not mean that he intends to move away from the MMA universe. He will bring all his expertise to young fighters representing the PSG team in the UFC.

For now, the project is only at the discussion stage. It would have become concrete in Qatar during the 2022 World Cup with the stay of Khabib Nurmagomedov there. No formalization is expected in the coming days. The final decision will be made by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
