Manchester City’s Interest in Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala Sparks Transfer Battle

Manchester City continued last weekend with victory in the Premier League. The Citizens defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 at home and are once again in the lead across the Channel. Jérémy Doku was one of the standouts and may soon expect a new star as a teammate.

So writes Transfers that City is showing interest in Jamal Musiala (20), Bayern Munich’s super talent. The young German is reportedly frustrated in Bavaria because he does not have a permanent starting position under Thomas Tuchel. Bayern and the player are negotiating a new agreement, but both parties have not yet reached an agreement.

Musiala’s current agreement runs until mid-2026 and Transfer market currently estimates its market value at 110 million euros. A hefty price, which underlines that Musiala is seen as one of the future stars in international football.

Reinforcement in midfield

City is looking for additional reinforcement in midfield. It saw Kevin De Bruyne fall injured in the Champions League final and immediately moved on in the summer mercato by buying Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton for 62 million euros. However, that did not satisfy City’s hunger, because now Musiala would also be on the radar at the Etihad Stadium.

Competition

Competition would come from within City, where Liverpool also have Musiala on their wish list. In addition, Real Madrid has also been mentioned as a possible destination for the German international. A new titanic battle in the transfer market seems to be in the making.
