Lyon-Clermont: at what time and on which channel to watch the Ligue 1 match?

Zero. This is the number of victories that Olympique Lyonnais and Clermont have accumulated after 8 days of Ligue 1. It is therefore logical that the two teams which will close this new French championship weekend occupy the last two places in the championship.

On the one hand, the Lyonnais have already changed coaches this season. Exit Laurent Blanc, make way for the 2006 world champion Fabio Grosso. For his third appearance on the Gones bench, the Italian thought he would secure the first victory for OL in 2023-2024. But leading 3-1 at home against Lorient was not enough. The Merlus held on to Alexandre Lacazette and his team at the end of the match, to share the points at Groupama Stadium (3-3).

Since then, during the international break, Rayan Cherki shone with the Espoirs, leading the Bleuets to the biggest victory in their history (9-0) against Cyprus in Grenoble. It remains to be seen whether Fabio Grosso will give him more than the meager 10 minutes he had to exploit against Lorient.

The Lyonnais will therefore try to achieve their first success of the season against the bottom of the championship. Clermont, dead last with five defeats and two draws in seven games, still obtained an encouraging point against Paris Saint-Germain at the end of September (0-0). Their last match, which they lost 4 goals to 2 until the last minutes, was interrupted in Montpellier by a firecracker throw.

Kickoff of the match between Olympique Lyonnais and Clermont Foot is scheduled for 8:45 p.m. this Sunday, October 22, and the match will be broadcast on Prime Video.
