THEThe Sardinian director will close the first half at 38-41 thanks to his hot hand from long distance.
The lagoon players squandered their advantage
Upon returning from the changing rooms, Venezia starts with its foot on the accelerator, building an 11-2 run that sees them lead 40-51: Parks, Simms and Jeff Brooks from beyond the arc try to give the shoulder to an opponent who feels the blow but does not give up, clinging to the inspiration of Grantham who scores four points in a row, thus keeping the games open. The Lions then managed to mend the gap with a 10-2 counterbreak with Josh Sharma reducing the gap between the two teams to just one possession at the sound of the third siren (54-56 in the 30th minute). In the fourth quarter, Sharma once again stings, restoring the balance. London proved quicker to optimize the possessions played despite Reyer seeing her shooting percentages drop but managing to stay in the game until just over a minute from the end with Tucker placing the bomb for -1. Spissu wastes the triple of possible parity and Phillip closes the discussion from the line at 76-69.
