Last season, FC Barcelona celebrated a championship that many experts attributed to the German national goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, 31 – no goalkeeper in the Spanish league conceded fewer goals (20 in 38 games). Compared to that, Germany’s current number one has had an almost inflationary performance this season (ten goals conceded in nine games), but that still puts him among the five best goalkeepers in the league. And: He is on the way to achieving cult status in Barcelona.
