Injury Forces Steven Adams to Undergo Surgery, Ending His Season Before It Begins

The season hasn’t even started and it’s already over for Steven Adams. The New Zealand pivot had suffered a sprain of the posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in January and the attempt to bring him back without surgery did not dissipate “the instability of his knee”, indicated his team, the Memphis Grizzlies this Sunday. Despite a few recent appearances in the NBA preseason, Adams finally had to undergo surgery and give up on the upcoming exercise.

Yet another hard blow for the Grizzlies, who already have to do without their star leader Ja Morant, suspended for 25 matches after showing off a gun in a video posted on his social networks in May.
