Guatemalan Badminton Shines at Pan American Games Santiago 2023

Guatemalan badminton gave a positive note this Sunday during the second day of competition of the XIX edition of the Pan American Games Santiago 2023a day in which Guatemala remains only with the silver medal achieved on Saturday by Alejandra Higueros, in the women’s individual poomsae of Taekwondo.

In men’s and women’s doubles, Guatemala will also have a presence in the quarterfinals thanks to the triumphs of Lesvin Marroquín and Jonathan Solís, who defeated the Chilean duo 2-0 (21-7 and 21-5), in addition to Nikté Sotomayor and Diana Corleto who defeated the Cuban girls 2-0 (21-17 and 21-19).

National badminton wants to achieve the greatest number of places in the finals to give the Guatemalan people the satisfaction of fighting for gold in Santiago, Chile.
