Now France’s Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin made serious allegations against the footballer in an interview with “CNews”.
Benzema is said to have terrorist contacts
“Mr Karim Benzema has notorious links to the Muslim Brotherhood,” explained the Frenchman.
It was also said that Benzema had been under close observation for some time. “We are attacking a hydra, namely the Muslim Brotherhood, because it creates jihadism,” said Darmanin.
The former Real Madrid striker was already heavily criticized on Sunday after he wrote a pro-Palestine post on “X”.
