Karim Benzema receives sharp criticism for an anti-Israel post. Now France’s Interior Minister intervenes and says that the world footballer has terrorist contacts. Benzema has therefore been under observation for a long time.
Football star Karim Benzema, 35, causes heated debates with a tweet against Israel. The 97-time French international appears to be clearly on the side of the terrorist organization Hamas after the barbaric murders. Now the French government is getting involved in the case. France’s Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin accuses the reigning Ballon d’Or winner of having contact with a terrorist organization.
“Mr Karim Benzema has notorious ties to the Muslim Brotherhood,” Darmanin said in an interview with CNews. As Darmanin continues, Benzema has been under observation for weeks. His actions are followed with particular interest. “We are attacking a hydra, namely the Muslim Brotherhood, because it causes jihadism,” the minister continued.

Benzema, a Muslim with Algerian roots, recently wrote to “X” – without mentioning Israel’s name: “All our prayers for the residents of Gaza, who are once again falling victim to unjust bombings in which neither women nor children are spared. “
Benzema and the Muslim Brotherhood
What Benzema accuses Israel applies exactly to Hamas: In the attack on Israel on October 7th, its terrorists deliberately killed civilians, raped young women, and tortured, killed and burned children and babies. At least 1,300 Israelis were killed on the day of the attack alone; Hundreds of missing people are still being sought, so the number of victims is likely to rise. At least 199 civilians were taken hostage. In addition, Hamas also uses its own civilians as human shields under coercion – a war crime.
According to pro-Palestine post – FSV Mainz 05 releases El Ghazi
Bundesliga soccer team FSV Mainz 05 has released Anwar El Ghazi from training and games after a pro-Palestine post. In it, El Ghazi “took a position on the conflict in the Middle East in a way that was intolerable for the club,” the club said.
The Muslim Brotherhood, with which Benzema is associated, is a transnational Islamic organization and was originally founded in 1928 as a resistance to British colonialism in Egypt. It is therefore considered one of the oldest Islamist organizations. Hamas has long been considered its affiliate in the Palestinian territories.
