Former national soccer coach Joachim Löw regrets the circumstances in which he announced in March 2019 that world champions Mats Hummels, Thomas Müller and Jérôme Boateng would be leaving the national team. “Of course it wasn’t the fine English way,” said the 63-year-old in the “Spielmacher” podcast. He thinks the new national coach Julian Nagelsmann is a good solution. It is “incredibly important for a team and for the players that a coach is able to give a team solutions. He will certainly apply the lever. And that is exactly the right thing at this moment,” said Löw .
