DENVER NUGGETS Dominate LA Lakers in Season Opener while Phoenix Suns Triumph over Golden State Warriors

As usual, the first game of the NBA season begins with the ceremony for the team that raised the Larry O’Brien Trophy the year before. At the end of the ring presentation it’s immediately time to think about the match, this year at the first tap-off there are Nikola Jokić and Anthony Davis to kick off the season.

DENVER NUGGETS – LOS ANGELES LAKERS: 119-107

The first game of the 23/24 NBA season sees the attacks of both teams approach the match better than the defenses, but, in the first quarter, it is the Denver Nuggets who end up leading 34-20, thanks also to 10 points scored by Jokić and the Lakers’ defensive errors.

For the rest of the game Denver is good at keeping opponents at a safe distancewith the quintet finishing the match in double figures; the man of the pitch for the hosts is Nikola Jokić, who recorded the 106th triple double of his career, with 29 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Despite the defeat, the Lakers can’t say they didn’t try to win their season opener, but, What caused discussion was LeBron James’ playing time, author of 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists, in just 29 minutes of the match; at the end of the match LeBron commented on the lack of playing time with these words: “I always want to be on the pitch, especially when you have the opportunity to win. But I guess there is a system to follow and I will follow it.”

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS – PHOENIX SUNS: 104-108

In tonight’s second NBA game, it was immediately a “Devin Booker show”with the Suns number 1 leading his team to victory, thanks to the 32 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists recorded.

After a first quarter that ended in a tie, it was the Suns who tried to break away before halftime, going to the locker room with a score of 46-61, thanks also to the 9 points scored by Durant in the second quarter.

In the third quarter, the Warriors return to the parquet decidedly more concentrated than their opponents, managing to erase the Suns’ lead with a 40-19 run, but in the final part of the game it is Phoenix who comes out on top, taking advantage above all of the bad shooting percentages for Golden State, who finished with 35% shooting as a team.
