Badminton Blumenau Clube/SME participated this weekend, the 14th and 15th, in the South-Brazilian Masters Championship in Florianópolis. The Blumenau team stood out in the two days of competition by winning 11 medals, six gold and five silver.
The main individual highlight of the Blumenau team was athlete Pakawon Thatprakob Martin, who won two gold medals and one silver. The other medalists were Keiko Verônica Ono Fonseca (two golds), Jean Koepsel (one gold and two silvers), Sigeyuki Sakurada (one gold and one silver) and Rolf Hoeltgebaum (one silver).
Badminton Blumenau Clube (BBC) has the support of Blumenau City Hall, through the Municipal Sports Secretariat (SME) with the Bolsa Desportista Program. The financial benefit program helps, in addition to badminton, 32 other sports, and more than 500 athletes, including athletes, para-athletes and members of technical committees.
