The Ureta Tizona Burgos Group faces a new preseason match in which they will play, for the first time in the current campaign, in the El Plantío pavilion in Burgos.
In the match they will host Real Betis Baloncesto, on Sunday, September 24, at 5:00 p.m. The meeting will also serve as a tribute to a very beloved man in Tizona such as Alejandro Bortolussi.
Diego Ocampo’s men come to the confrontation against the Sevillians after having failed to beat Leyma Coruña in their previous preseason match played in Ponferrada (68-82). The Burgos team noticed physical fatigue after having played two games in a row the previous week in the Castilla y León Cup.
However, despite the defeat, Tizona never let go in the match, being able to close the gap on several occasions, and put up a fight against one of the strong teams in the category.
The top scorer for the Burgos team was Arnau Parrado, with 13 points, followed by Ramón Vilà, with 11, and Dídac Cuevas with 10. In the evaluation section, the most outstanding man was Garmine Kande, who achieved 15 credits thanks to his 8 points and 6 rebounds.

For its part, Real Betis Baloncesto arrives in Burgos after having played a match 24 hours earlier. The Sevillians visited Rioverde Clavijo, winning by 2 points (65-67).
Previously, they also beat Cáceres Ciudad del Baloncesto 74-69, but lost in their preseason debut against CB Morón 89-91. This meeting will also mean two important moments for Tizona: the team’s debut in its pavilion (El Plantío), and the tribute to the captain last season, Alejandro Bortolussi. The assistant coach of the Ureta Tizona Group, Denís Pombar, spoke about these two facts:
«The truth is that we really want to play at El Plantío. We have been playing as visitors all preseason, and to be playing at home for the first time, 10 days before the start of the competition, and also doing so with a tribute to Bortolussi, as he is another incentive. The truth is we are really looking forward to competing and continuing to grow ahead of the start of the LEB Oro.”
