Socialists highlight the work of groups and clubs

According to Cahigüela, the line that had been carried out years ago has been followed, with a high involvement on the part of the groupssuch as the Coimbra Chess Club with its traditional nocturnal tournament, or the Federation of Clubs of the Harvest Festival with the respective clubs, with their soccer, paddle tennis or futsal trophies.

The Department of Sports delegates the organization of the sport of the Fair

But the novelty this year has come in the outsourcing, by the Department of Sports, of the realization of the badminton, table tennis, tennis, basketball, swimming and Cross Fair tournaments. An outsourcing for a total amount of €17,303 with whom the city council has disregarded any organization, delegating this task to a company belonging tocasually, to a councilor of the popular group in the town hall of Jumilla until June 16.

From the Socialist Group regret that to prepare activities in which barely 15/20 people have participated (badminton, table tennis, chess or tennis) it is necessary to carry out contracts of this magnitudewhen years ago this type of tournament has always been carried out internally by the Department of Sports itself.

The councilor concluded by stating that They hope that the way to proceed in this fair has been a specific caseand that the line to follow, in sports and in any area, is not to spend without consideration while there are reserves, instead of working to be efficient with one’s own means.
