After the retirement of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gilles Simon and while waiting for that of Richard Gasquet or Gaël Monfils, it was Alizé Cornet who announced his retirement from sport during an interview with Canal+ at the end of April. “I’m going to play my last Roland-Garros in exactly one month and I’ll retire right away. (…) I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, but officially announcing it does a little something.”she explained.
While she will soon retire, Alizé Cornet was the guest of Telematin this Monday, May 13 and the France Télévisions show teams had a nice surprise in store for him. Her brother Sébastien, a handsome guy who looks a lot like her, sent her a nice video message in which he thanks her for this “unique adventure” that their family was able to experience through their incredible journey in tennis: “I can’t wait to see what happens and I send you big kisses”he concludes by evoking the future, certainly bright, which awaits the 34-year-old player, who shares the life of a handsome brunette whose identity she has finally revealed.

Words that warmed the hearts of the Nice girl, who failed to hold back her tears at the end of this moving sequence for her. “I am very moved. You don’t have the right to do that to me early in the morning anyway, it’s not cool”she says, with a smile on her lips but her eyes red with emotion, before saying more about the beautiful relationship between Alizé Cornet and Sébastien: “We experienced a lot of things with my brother. He’s the one who taught me how to play tennis, he supported me from my first steps as a player, then as a professional. He has always been behind me unconditionally.”
