Santa Fe Delegation to Compete in Evita Juveniles National Games in Mar del Plata

The provincial government, through the Santafesinos Games program and its different classification instances, defined the delegation that will participate in the Evita Juveniles National Games, which will take place from September 25 to 30, based in the city of Mar del Plata.

Santa Fe, who already participated in the Urban Games in Tecnópolis, will travel to “La Feliz” with a delegation of more than 1,000 athletes who will compete in 52 disciplines, including conventional and adapted for people with disabilities, along with 20,000 young people from the 24 districts. from Argentina.

In this regard, the Minister of Social Development, Danilo Capitani, stated that “promoting sport in all its facets is very important because of what it transmits to society and to young people in particular; That is why, from Governor Perotti’s management, we encourage and accompany the participation of more than 1,000 representatives who will leave high the feeling and belonging of the province of Santa Fe “.

The sports and educational program that is intended for girls, boys and young people, in addition to a proposal aimed at the Elderly, began its Local instance on May 8 with more than 1,000 events per week, and continued with the Departmental and Regional Stages, closing its calendar of competitions with the great Provincial Finals that were held during the month of August in Rosario, Santa Fe and finally, this 30 and 31 in Rafaela.

It is important to highlight that the disciplines have different categories and both branches, and that some sports were previously defined, according to the calendar of the sports associations and federations.

Evita National Games Calendar

The national calendar began on August 23 in Tecnópolis (Buenos Aires) with the debut of the Urban Games, where Santa Fe was present with 60 athletes who competed in BMX Freestyle, Freestyle, Parkour and Breaking, who joined for the first time to the Evita sports calendar, as well as Chess, 3×3 Basketball, Climbing and Skate. In this event, Santa Fe won a total of 12 medals, including gold, silver and bronze.

Later, from September 7 to 12, it will be the turn of the elderly in Termas de Río Hondo (Santiago del Estero), where athletes from all over the country who are over 60 years old will participate in Tejo, Sapo, Chess, Orienteering, Newcom, Table Tennis, Padel and Trick.

Finally, between September 25 and 30, the Youth Games will bring together 20,000 young people from all over Argentina in Mar del Plata who will compete in more than 52 sports disciplines, including conventional and adapted for people with disabilities.
