Asked by our colleagues from AS about his post-career and whether he would like to become a coach on the circuit, Rafael Nadal did not close the door to this possibility while being firm on certain conditions, particularly concerning the calendar.
“I am often asked questions about the future that I cannot answer, or say one thing or another. Because the future is often uncertain and I don’t lose sight of the fact that I have an academy where the players come and that I love sport in general. I love tennis, so I can’t say, ‘I’ll never become a coach.’ But what is certain is that I don’t see myself doing a complete program on the circuit, it’s practically impossible. Now, some weeks, to be able to help someone or to be able to spend time with a player, well, why not tomorrow. Not today, but tomorrow who knows. »
