Pablo Longoria, president of OM, considered resigning

Very marked by the meeting with groups of OM supporters, late Monday afternoon, a meeting during which he was unable to respond to serious accusations about his management of the club, Pablo Longoria assured his loved ones that he had thought about resigning during the night. He notably mentioned threats to Marcelino, who spoke about it to the group this Tuesday morning before a light training session on the Commanderie pitch.

According to various participants in the meeting, on the supporters’ side and on the management side, there were no death threats on Monday, as was suggested by certain media. If they are finally proven, the president will file a complaint, as did his predecessors Vincent Labrune or Jacques-Henri Eyraud, sometimes mistreated during their mandate.

In a crisis meeting since late morning, Longoria managed to reach Frank McCourt a few hours later, early in the afternoon. Privately, he now says he has ruled out the possibility of resignation. He has not responded to our requests, for the moment.
