From intentions to facts. Milan have started negotiations with Mike Maignan’s agents to renew and adapt the current contract expiring in June 2026.
THE SITUATION – The first contacts were cognitive. The parties have expressed broad mutual satisfaction and there is a desire to move forward. Milan wants to extend Maignan’s contract until 2028, the entourage is aiming for a salary of around 6 million euros net per year (compared to the current 2.8 million). The next summits will be important to go into economic details, but the negotiations have begun.
LAZIO OBJECTIVE – Arriving two years ago from Lille for 15.4 million euros, the French goalkeeper born in 1995 immediately managed to make Donnarumma, who joined PSG on a free transfer, forgotten. He is currently out with a thigh muscle injury: Pioli will not risk him in the midweek round in Cagliari, but expects to have him back available for the match against Lazio on Saturday in San Siro.
