Regarding narcotics, Inacif indicated in a report that 167,485 kilograms of marijuana were incinerated, for 89.51%, while 18,107 kilograms of cocaine, equivalent to 9.68%, as well as 1,490 kilograms of crack, for 0.7962%, and ecstasy 40 grams, representing 0.0214%.
In Dajabón, 89,642,480 kilograms were seized and in Valverde, 50,760,257.
The information was offered through a press release, which highlights that the seizures were also carried out during anti-narcotics operations carried out in sectors of the National District, Santo Domingo, Monseñor Nouel, La Altagracia, La Altagracia and Santiago, as well as in Espaillat, Duarte, La Vega, Samaná, Peravia, Puerto Plata and La Romana, among other towns.
Members of different institutions of the justice system and the health area participated in the event that took place at the Army compound of the Dominican Republic, in the Pedro Brand municipality, Santo Domingo province.
During the development of the event, the authorities highlighted that as a result of the actions against this organized crime activity, 18,061,256 kilograms of different drugs have been incinerated in the period from January 12 to September 14, 2023.
