After three months of research, Bayern Munich are about to reveal the identity of their new coach. It is Vincent Kompany (38 years old), linked to Burnley until June 2028, who should become Thomas Tuchel’s successor. The Belgian technician has already reached a verbal agreement with the Bavarian leaders at the start of the week.
The most successful German club and the English team have yet to reach an agreement on the transfer fee, which should be around 15 million euros, and the ultimate green light from Bayern’s supervisory board is still missing.
Kompany’s profile really appeals to Max Eberl (general manager) and Christoph Freund (sporting director) in addition to the fact that the native of Ukkel speaks German fluently, having played for two years as a player in Hamburg (2006-2008). After the successive refusals of adventure, Bayern is therefore very close to having finally unearthed its new coach.
