And of course that is no longer the case. The Czech had already worn the clothing of her new sponsor J.Lindeberg as part of the US Open. The company was founded in Stockholm and New York in 1996 and is dedicated to both sports and lifestyle clothing.

The deal was celebrated under the motto “Game, Set, Marketa”.

In addition to her clothing deal, Vondrousova has also landed Red Bull’s Czech division as an advertising partner.

Vondousova appeared in unlabeled tennis pieces at the Wimbledon tournament and explained the reason for this in her press conferences: Nike had not renewed her in 2022 after her long injury.

In retrospect, the US company was probably annoyed by this, because one thing is clear: they are quite happy to have a Wimbledon winner under contract as a supplier…

Vondrousova also made it to the quarterfinals at the US Open, but lost against Madison Keys. She won sensationally at Wimbledon in the summer, becoming the first unseeded player ever.
