With the excuse of the car breaking down or having suffered a theft, cThey persuaded motorists to stop and once they got out of their respective cars they robbed them after beating them to pieces with baseball bats or screwdrivers. In one night, November 2, 2021, three attacks were committed between Volpiano and Settimo Torinese.
THE PROCESS
In recent days in court in Ivrea the gang was sentenced in summary form “Clockwork Orange” style robberies. The investigating judge Ombretta Vanini, at the request of the Ivrea prosecutor’s office, inflicted sentences for a total of over fifteen years of imprisonment on three robbers.
THE CONVICTIONS
The highest sentence was given to Diego De Glaudi, 33 years old, from Volpiano sentenced to 6 years, one month and 10 days plus the payment of 2 thousand euros. Four years, 10 months and 20 days plus a fine of one thousand and 466 euros imposed on Marco Tappari, 38 years old, from Montanaro and 4 years, 8 months and one thousand and 400 euros fine imposed on Samuele Mozzillo, 37 years old, from Volpiano.
According to the reconstruction of the Chivasso carabinieri, the attacks were carried out in a few hours along the former State Road 11 in Mezzi Po of Settimo Torinese e in via Kant, on the outskirts of Volpiano.

“Clockwork Orange” Style Attacks
The most serious episode contested by the Ivrea prosecutor’s office dates back to night of November 2, 2021: it was 2.30 when a citizen told the police that he had been chased by a white Fiat Panda with two men on board who had forced him to pull over.
The victim was returning from work driving a van belonging to the company registered to his wife. Once he got out of the cockpit, the driver told the police that he had been accused by one of the two men of stealing from his house. When approached, he was robbed of his cell phone and injured in the calf and lumbar area with a screwdriver and hit in the face and nose with pincers.
During another robbery committed that night, a couple of hours later, De Glaudi and Tappari on board the white Panda, near via Kant in Volpiano, had forced an Audi A4 out of the car, another motorist.
At that point the two robbers, accusing him of a theft that never happened, forced him to open the trunk, stole his purse and car keys and, finally, had wounded in the right knee by blows with a baseball bat also causing him a serious fracture of the femur.
