MMA: the impressive videos of the knockouts of Alex Perez, Bogdan Guskov and Uros Medic in the UFC

The card wasn’t the most enticing in UFC history. However, she had several nice surprises in store. This Saturday evening, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, the home of the queen MMA organization, a new evening of fights took place. And Alex Perez, Bogdan Guskov and Uros Medic particularly stood out.

Scheduled at the start of the main card, after rather timid preliminary fights, the Serb was the first to inflict a severe knockout on his opponent. Under pressure from his opponent, who tried to push him back against the cage, the “Doctor” found the space to unleash a superb left uppercut which dried out poor Tim Means after only 2′09″ of combat. Brutal! The evening was underway.

After the victory of the Ugandan David Onama, by unanimous decision against the American Jonathan Pearce, it was the turn of the heavyweight Jhonata Diniz to shine. For his first in the UFC, the Brazilian once again showed his power, and extinguished Austen Lane with a violent left hook. This is his 7th victory by knockout for his… 7th fight.

Equally impressive was the success of Uzbek Bodgan Guskov. The light heavyweight (-93 kg), who fought at the Accor Arena during the last UFC Paris (loss to Volkan Oezdemir), took his time to defeat the American Ryan Spann. Dominated in the first round, he reversed the trend by hitting his opponent in the chin with a right uppercut. Groggy, the 11th in the category, never managed to come to his senses. Guskov will therefore enter the top 15 of the division.

The main fight of this UFC Fight Night pitted Matheus Nicolau and Alex Perez in the flyweight category. Although better ranked than his opponent, the former never managed to contain the power of the American. Already in difficulty in the first round, cornered against the cage, the Brazilian ended up giving in in the middle of the second round when Perez hit him in the chin with a big right hook.

Next weekend, a championship belt will be at stake. While the UFC returns to Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, Alexandre Pantoja puts his flyweight title on the line against Australian Steve Erceg. Legend José Aldo will also make his return to the cage, while Frenchman William Gomis will face local Jean Silva.
