Former NBA player Brandon Hunter died at just 42 years old. During his career he also played in the German Basketball Bundesliga.
Orlando – The basketball world is mourning because former professional Brandon Hunter is dead. The American died in Orlando, Florida, during a yoga session. He is said to have collapsed. “It happened during hot yoga and he did it regularly. As far as we know, he was in good shape. “We’re just shocked,” his mother-in-law told NBC.

The power forward, who was selected 56th overall in the 2003 NBA draft, played in the best basketball league in the world for the Boston Celtics, the Charlotte Bobcats and the Orlando Magic. The Florida franchise expressed its condolences in a post on social media platform X: “We are terribly saddened to learn of the loss of our former teammate Brandon Hunter. We extend our deepest condolences to the entire Hunter family.”
Brandon Hunter was a real traveler and played for numerous clubs in his career. After he no longer received a contract in the NBA, he moved to Europe. There he played in Greece, Italy, Israel, Turkey, Latvia, France and Germany, among others. Between 2011 and 2012 he was under contract with BBC Bayreuth.

The second division team said an emotional goodbye to the deceased via Instagram: “Today we have to give you very sad news. As US media report, Brandon Hunter – our ever-popular center from the second BBL season after promotion – died suddenly and completely unexpectedly at the age of just 42.”
