FC Bayern enters into new partnership for talent development in West Africa

The Red&Gold Football project, a collaboration between FC Bayern Munich and Los Angeles FC, has announced a new partnership with ‘Gambino Stars Africa’, a well-known football academy in Gambia. The aim is to develop the top talents of The Gambia and other West African nations at the highest level. The partnership aims to show top players a controlled and self-determined path to the top leagues in Europe and the MLS.

We should also work together when it comes to training. Red&Gold Football will support the Gambian academy both in terms of personnel and in terms of philosophy. “We not only want to develop talent, but also offer young people better prospects for their lives,” explained Helmut Hack, founder and owner of the football academy, the goals of the academy and the new partnership.

For FC Bayern, it is of course also about talent scouting. “Together we want to find the best talents in West Africa, offer them an optimal environment for their development and the best individual path to the European leagues and the MLS,” says Red&Gold Football managing director Jochen Sauer, describing the joint project.

FC Bayern, rumors: Tottenham snatches away FCB Croatia gem Vuskovic

FC Bayern Munich is said to have been interested in Croatia’s super talent Luka Vuskovic. But the 16-year-old brother of HSV defender Mario Vuskovic has now taken a different path: he will join Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2025. As the Spurs announced, he has signed a contract until 2030. Due to transfer regulations, a change is not permitted before his 18th birthday. According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham will pay Hajduk Split a total package of around 14 million euros.

Luka Vuskovic signed a professional contract with his youth club on his 16th birthday, quickly celebrated his debut and immediately developed into a regular player. The 1.93 meter tall central defender is a U17 national player and the youngest Croatian in the UEFA Youth League, as well as the youngest Croatian Youth League goalscorer.

FC Bayern, News: Torsten Frings worried about the future of Mathys Tel

Former Bayern professional Torsten Frings expressed concern about Mathys Tel’s future in a ran web show. He praised his good performances as a substitute: “It’s a little more difficult at Bayern, especially when you have a 100 million man in front of you. But he scores his goals and is always extremely dangerous when he comes in.”

But Frings gives him the space that at some point Tel will ask himself “whether it’s enough for him if he only plays for a few minutes at a time.” Frings is curious to see how Tel will then act, because he sees Tel as a “striker for the future. Under no circumstances should FC Bayern make the mistake of scaring him away.”

FC Bayern, News: New start to team training is delayed

Manuel Neuer was actually supposed to start FC Bayern team training on Monday. At least that was coach Thomas Tuchel’s plan in the press conference before matchday 4. But on Monday he trained with the other goalkeepers, but he didn’t come to team training and instead stayed on the next court with goalkeeping coach Michaelrechner.

Tuchel had already stated in the press conference before matchday 5 that Neuer “actually doesn’t really have an injury” at the moment. “It’s more calf complaints that are very diffuse and come and go sometimes.” These complaints would not specifically concern his “jumping technique or muscle contraction”. “They’re just there and disruptive.”
