A total of 11 gold medals, 6 silver and 5 bronze, placed the delegation of the province of Colón, in the third position at the national level, in the Panama City Cup Tournamentá, held this Saturday, September 2 in the capital city.
Judo clubs Teófilo Mendoza de Colón and Miramar Judo Club of the Costa Arriba from the province represented it, achieving this harvest of medals, to the pride of their coaches.
Despite not having coliseums in the province to carry out these practices, the coaches manage to teach children and young people this sport.
Parents together with the coaches with their own resources support children and adolescents to be able to take them to national competitions and international occasions.
The tournament was held in the infant, cadet and junior categories and included representations from the provinces of Bocas Del Toro, Veraguas, Coclé, Herrera, Chiriquí, Panama, West Panama, Los Santos and Colon.
