Nineteen shots were fired last night in Caivano, in the province of Naples, during the raid that caused terror and fear in the Parco Verde. This was announced by the provincial command of the Carabinieri of Naples: the “shooting” took place in Viale delle Margherite where, according to what emerges from the findings of the military personnel, unknown persons fired 19 shots, of two different calibres. The raid was reported on social media by Don Maurizio Patriciello and, fortunately, at the moment there has been no damage to property or injuries. Investigations are underway to clarify the dynamics and identify those responsible.

Don Patriciello: terror with machine guns, they challenge the State
“There are masked people who arrive on motorbikes at high speed with Kalashnikovs on their shoulders and shoot wildly. The neighborhood is in terror, it doesn’t take much to die hit by a stray bullet. It’s dangerous, something inconceivable. The police are bending over backwards these days, but these people fly at the speed of light, everything happens quickly and then they run away. The people are once again in terror, it is the third time that a similar episode has happened since the prime minister came to Caivano. I read this as a challenge to the State. The Prime Minister’s visit on 31 August
It was Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni herself who went to the Parco Verde di Caivano on 31 August after some news cases had brought widespread social unrest to light. An inconvenience reported on several occasions by Don Patriciello, a parish priest who has been fighting against crime for years. The prime minister had met the priest.
The Caivano decree
Immediately afterwards, the Council of Ministers approved a decree introducing urgent measures to combat youth hardship, educational poverty and juvenile crime. It is the so-called “Caivano decree”. Among the measures, the possibility of urban Daspo for those over 14 years old is foreseen, the penalty limit is remodulated which makes it possible to apply precautionary custody towards minors, suspects or accused; the application of probation is made possible right from the investigation phase: sanctions for the illegitimate possession of weapons are tightened; parents who do not send their children to compulsory school risk up to two years in prison.
