Barcelona is excited to have the services of a talented young Belgian midfielder who is predicted to have a playing style like Xavi.
Barcelona has shown interest in Royal Antwerp young star Arthur Vermeeren.
The midfielder is said to be a mix of Xavi-Andres Iniesta, and his name is starting to be sniffed out by European giants, including the Catalans club.
When Barcelona played Antwerp in the Champions League this week, the directors of each club, Deco and Marc Overmars, met and held discussions regarding the teenager’s future.

It is known that there was no discussion regarding Vermeeren’s transfer fee. However, Antwerp is not reluctant about the player’s potential sale in the near future.
In fact, in Belgium, Vermeeren’s selling price is known to be around 20 million euros, a nominal figure that apparently top European clubs can easily achieve.
Antwerp coach Mark van Bommel himself has indicated that there is a very good chance of Vermeeren leaving in the next transfer market.
Barca have not currently made any decisions, but their plan is to continue monitoring developments youngster 18 years before taking concrete steps.
Barca is not alone, Manchester United is also believed to be interested in bringing Vermeeren to the English Premier League in January next year.
