Manchester City legend David Silva emphasized that now there is only one team that can beat his favorite club. Who are they?

The former Spanish star did not hesitate to appoint Arsenal as the only team that would be able to stop Pep Guardiola’s troops in the 2023/24 campaign.

“They have an extraordinary team with fantastic players,” Silva told The Mirror.

“This is Pep’s eighth season at City. The first year, he was getting used to the Premier League, but now they are almost unstoppable,” he continued.

“Arsenal is the only team I can see that seems to have a chance of rivaling City. The rest? I don’t think they can,” he explained.

Silva, who announced his retirement last month following a knee injury suffered in pre-season training with Real Sociedad, is proud of his fantastic achievement. The Cityzens with Guardiola so far, especially treble winners last season.

“I watched almost all of City’s matches in the Champions League last season. I couldn’t win it when I was there. However, I am very happy with this club because they were finally able to make it happen,” added Silva.

“They deserved it. The club deserved it, the fans deserved to win the Premier League, the Champions League and the FA Cup, treble. “That is truly an extraordinary achievement,” he said.
