7 Arrested and 6 Reported in Recent Carabinieri Operations in Rome

In the last few hours, as part of the daily territorial control services in the capital, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Rome have arrested 7 people and they have it 6 others reported.

A Peruvian citizen ended up in handcuffs for the theft of clothing from a commercial establishment inside the Galleria Forum Termini and six citizens – 3 Italians and 3 foreigners – for crimes relating to drugs, because they were caught, in various interventions, dealing doses of drugs in the heart of the Trastevere district, between Ponte Sisto and Piazza Trilussa, the heart of the moved Roman. Another 3 people found in possession of narcotic substances were reported. The Carabinieri, with the help of colleagues from the Carabinieri Dog Unit of Santa Maria di Galeria, also seized 30 g of cocaine, 25 g of hashish, 12 bottles of methadone and 250 euros in cash.

The Carabinieri then reported a 48-year-old Italian man found in possession of a switchblade approximately 20 centimeters long and a 36-year-old Roman man for violating the precautionary measure of the obligation to reside in the municipality of Zagarolo, issued against him for crimes relating to drugs and for driving without a license since it was revoked.

The Carabinieri of the Rome Group, however, together with colleagues from the Health Protection Group and the Work Protection Group, reported a 43-year-old from Bangladesh, owner of a minimarket in via Gioberti, for having installed a video surveillance system inside the premises without the required authorizations. The man was also fined over 5,000 euros for failing to prepare the risk assessment document, for failing to carry out health surveillance for the hired worker and for failing to provide adequate training to the worker present.

The owners of 5 commercial businesses were also fined for a total of over 15,000 euros. This is a bar in via Principe Eugenio, due to the lack of the HACCP certificate; a diner in Piazza dei Cinquecento, for 3,000 euros, for the lack of the HACCP certificate and for non-compliant food storage; a pizzeria due to lack of general hygiene requirements and failure to implement self-control and traceability procedures; a fish shop and a pizzeria in the Trilussa area for failure to comply with the HACCP self-control procedures. 30 kg of food products unfit for sale seized.

The Carabinieri, during all activities, identified 224 people and carried out checks on 97 vehicles.
