Partizani Defeats Atletic Club d’Escaldes 4-1, Advances in Champions League Qualification

On Tuesday, “Partizani” defeated “Atletic Club d’Escaldes” of Andorra 4:1 (2:0) at home in the return match in the second round of qualification, winning 5:1 in the sum of two games.

Tedi Kara scored two goals for the winners on Tuesday, while Arinaldo Rapaj and Eros Grezda scored each time. Guillaume Lopez scored the only goal for the visitors.

The first match between “Valmiera” and “Partizani” will take place in Latvia on August 10, while the return match will be played a week later in the Albanian field.

“Valmiera” defeated San Marino “Tre Penne” 7-0 (4-0) in the match of the second round of qualification on Tuesday and won 10-0 in the sum of two games.

“Valmiera” is playing in the Eurocups for the fourth time, but this season it was the first time it started in the Champions League qualification, losing 2:4 to “Olimpija” Ljubljana in the first round duel in the sum of two matches.

Last season Valmieri competed in the qualification of the Conference League, losing in the second round with 2:5 to the North Macedonian club Shkendija of Skopje, but in 2021 they finished the competition after the first round of the Conference League qualification.

Meanwhile, the Tirana team, which has won the local championship 17 times, lost 1:3 to the Belarusian team Borisov BATE in the first round of the Champions League qualification in the sum of two matches.
