Milo Day: Nestlé Polynésie Hosts Successful Sports Event for Children in Tahiti

Tahiti, August 14, 2023 – Two hundred and ten children from the towns on the east coast of Tahiti took part last Friday in Milo Day, a sports day organized by Nestlé Polynésie. Aged 7 to 12, the young people toured four workshops, in a friendly and playful spirit.

After the day in May for the children of Papeete and the surrounding towns, Nestlé Polynésie organized, last Friday, the Milo Day for children aged 7 to 12 on the east coast of the island. The municipalities of Tiarei to Papeno’o each chose 30 children from disadvantaged neighborhoods to participate in the event.

On the program, four different sports. On the stadium of the Hitia’a sports complex, a slalom and tackle workshop led by the Polynesian Rugby Federation was unanimously received. “It’s so funny, it’s the first time I’ve done this”, exclaims a young boy after having tackled the pudding. Next door, children were introduced to javelin throwing and the long jump. “The goal is for them to have a good time and discover a sport they might not have access to,” says Agathe Bouriau, marketing coordinator at Nestlé Polynésie.
