Liam Everts has upheld Belgian honors in Sweden’s MXGP. Our young compatriot finished second and third in the series in MX2 and only had to tolerate the German Längenfelder in the final standings of the GP.

The unfortunate Jago Geerts was missing from Sweden and Lucas Coenen was also unable to participate in the race after a serious crash in qualifying yesterday. The 16-year-old Coenen rolled over and did not start today.

But Liam Everts’ star did shine in Uddevalla. In the first series he just couldn’t compete with the German Simon Längenfelder. In the second race, Everts crossed the finish line in third place. He finished second in the GP final standings.

Everts jumps in the World Cup position over Jago Geerts and is now the first pursuer of World Cup leader Andrea Adamo. The Italian lost some of his feathers with a 10th place in heat 1, but put that right with victory in the second heat.

In the absence of his brother Lucas, Sacha Coenen upheld the honor of the family. He finished 5th and 8th in the heats and 6th in the final standings.
