Jakov Medic Impresses with Goal in Debut for Ajax

Jakov Medic had a great debut at Ajax. The central defender was important with a great goal against Heracles Almelo.

The 24-year-old Croatian equalized just before half-time with a long shot. Medic is already completely in place in the player group. “My teammates were also very happy and said funny things like ‘sit down, we’ll get you lunch’,” he says on the club channels.

“It’s great fun when your teammates play around with you and when you’re appreciated,” he continues. “That is the most important thing, that my teammates include me completely in the group and that we are there for each other. That feels very good. This has been a good week for me.”
