This Monday, Swiatek officially started his 70th straight week at No. 1 in the WTA rankings. Previously, only Graf and Hingis had managed to achieve at least 70 straight weeks in their first stint at No. 1 in the world.
When Graf became world number one in 1987, she spent 186 consecutive weeks in first place. As for Hingis, she became world number one in 1997 and passed 80 consecutive weeks in first place.
