FC Bayern: Musiala dream goal in the test against Monaco

FC Bayern Munich successfully completed their dress rehearsal before the start of the season. The German soccer record champions won the French first division club AS Monaco 4: 2 (3: 1), but before the Supercup on Saturday (8:45 p.m. / Sky and Sat.1) against cup winner RB Leipzig there are still some open questions and problems.

Takumi Minamino (29′) gave the French the lead after a chain of errors in Bayern’s defence. Konrad Laimer (32nd), Jamal Musiala with a dream goal after a brilliant individual performance and Serge Gnabry (45th + 2) with a penalty kick turned the game around before the break. As in previous tests, Thomas Tuchel’s team missed a few more good chances.

Wissam Ben Yedder (63./penalty kick) reduced the lead after the break before Leroy Sane (68.) scored to make it 4-2. The lack of a top scorer was once again noticeable in front of 11,000 spectators in Unterhaching, but the tough poker game for Harry Kane seems to have faltered.

According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur also turned down another offer from Munich. This should now be around 100 million euros. After all, goalkeeper Yann Sommer is largely clear, who is moving to Inter Milan for six million euros.

Against Monaco, Sven Ulreich stood in for Manuel Neuer, who was still not fit to play. However, a keeper is to be signed, and Kyle Walker from Manchester City is still on the Munich shopping list. In the game against Monaco, coached by ex-Frankfurt Adi Hütter, Tuchel did without Joshua Kimmich. The club cited “load control” as the reason. Leon Goretzka was allowed to play from the start for the first time in preparation.
