Elisa Aguilar, Director of Competitions of the FEB, and Carol Callan, member of the FIBA Central Board, met within the framework of the 2023 Congress and agreed to collaborate to continue the promotion of women’s basketball.

During the cycle of parallel meetings and specific commissions that make up the 2023 Congress, the Director of Competitions of the FEB, Elisa Aguilar, held a meeting with Carol Callan, a member of the FIBA Central Board. President of FIBA Americas until this past May and of USA Basketball’s women’s national teams for more than two decades, Callan is one of the most recognized voices in women’s basketball.
Elisa Aguilar and Carol Callan have analyzed the development of club and national team competitions in recent years, and have agreed on many of their reflections on where our sport should head during the 2023-2027 period. Approved as one of the basic pillars for this cycle by the Assembly held yesterday, both the FEB and USA Basketball have agreed to collaborate and share experiences to remain a driving force behind this movement and continue leading the development of women’s basketball worldwide.
