A gunman on a roof? After this observation, a resident dialed the emergency call on Thursday evening in Grunewaldstrasse in Berlin-Spandau.
According to a police spokesman, the emergency services were informed around 7:30 p.m. that a person with a gun and baseball bat was walking around on the roof of a house.
The man, 36, pointed the baseball bat “in a menacing manner” at the caller, the spokesman said. When the police arrived, he climbed from the roof into a fourth-floor apartment.
The SEK and emergency services of a hundred entered the apartment a little later.
The man himself was not present, but according to the police, the officers discovered the firearm in addition to the baseball bat and a stun gun.
After the apartment was searched and further investigations were carried out, the 36-year-old was discovered in a closed restaurant in the residential building.
Despite resistance, he was arrested.
“The man with behavioral problems was taken to a hospital and is now being treated there,” said the spokesman.
