Disappointed Branco van den Boomen Benched as Ajax Secures Victory

Ajax won 1-4 on Thursday evening at Ludogorets, but Branco van den Boomen was on the bench with coach Maurice Steijn’s team. The coach chose Tahirovic, Taylor and Berghuis in midfield.

Steijn understands that the former SC Heerenveen midfielder was fed up with his reserve role. “He may be disappointed, but he understands the explanation,” says the trainer/coach on the website of De Telegraaf. Kudus eventually became the ‘Man of the Match’ with no less than three hits.
