Injured in the right ankle, Baptiste Jauneau will be unavailable for several weeks, the Clermont club announced on Tuesday.
The under-20 world champion was injured in Clermont’s big victory against Perpignan (38-14) on the second day of the championship and suffered from a tibiofibular sprain, according to the examinations that it passed at the beginning of the week.
Great hope of French rugby, Jauneau played the first two meetings of ASM in the Top 14 this season.
Last season, the young N.9 had played twenty-one league games, including ten as a starter, scoring six tries.
He also appeared in three Champions Cup matches and two Challenge Cup matches.
